| It lies between Avcili Village and Çöteli Village (In 1980; Russell called it Çöbeli); 700 northwest of Avcili Village; about 5 km north of Poyraz Sub-District; northwest of Elazig Province. Burney reports that it is nearer to Avcili; whereas K. Kökten calls it Kaletepesi. It measures 8 m in height and 60 m in diameter. The surface collection conducted by C.A. Burney yielded samples of the Karaz ware with black burnished interior and exterior surfaces as well as grooved/excised and relief decorated samples of the same ware dating from the EBA. |
