It was found during the survey conducted by Yalçikli in 2010. The mound has been submerged by waters of Araovacik Reservoir. No potsherds or findings have been found in the research has been done in the vicinity. Yalçikli advised with Associate Professor T. Takaoglu who stated that he has seen the mound before it was submerged by waters during his trip to the region in 2004 and has seen potsherds were dated to early period of EBA. The location of EBA mound is positioned with the help of 1/25.000 scale map [Yalçikli 2012:212]. It was revisited during the survey conducted by Yalçikli in 2011. The research could be done because the water level of the pond was low. A few potsherds dating to the beginning of EBA were recovered. Based on these findings, the existence of the level belonging to the beginning of 3rd millennium BC could be proved [Yalçikli 2013:20].
