The cave is situated at Iliksu location in the west end of Sarimsakli Beach, southwest of Küçükköy Sub-district of Ayvalik. The cave is an artificial structure composed by the expansion of a crack inside the volcanic rocks by humans for drinking water reserves and shelter. It was surveyed and mapped by MAD. And there is no sign of any grooup of animals in the environs [Nazik et al. 2007].
