| It lies 8 km west of Antakya. Basically a natural cave; it was enlarged by excavations. It is inhabited by many species of bats. A low and narrow passage goes 20 m further to the left; and becomes inaccessible before completing its turn [Oldham 1974:86]. Various colonies of bats (Rousettus aegyptiacus; Rhinolophus ferrumequinum; Rhinolophus blasii; Myotis myotis; Myotis blythii; Miniopterus schreibersii) were seen. |
