Explanation: The stratification of Yassihöyük/Gordion is as follows: Layer 1, Middle Age; layers 2 and 3a, Hellenistic Period; layer 3B, Hellenistic Period/Galat; layer 4, Late Phrygian/Persian (550-330 BC); layer 5, Middle Phrygian (700-550 BC); layer 6, Early Phrygian (950-700 BC); layer 7, Early Iron Age (1100-950 BC); layer 8, Late Bronze Age/Hittite (1400-1200 BC); layer 9, Late Bronze Age (1500-1400 BC); layer 10, Middle Bronze Age (1500-1600 BC). The 14C specimens are from the Terrace Building 2A on the layer which underwent fire, dating to the end of Early Iron Age and beginning of the Early Phrygian Period. A series of 14C dates from Yassihöyük/Gordion was published as 14C ages and calibrated (2 sigma14C) by Kohler and Ralph in 1961. Following is a list of the published dates:
