Chronological Tables
Explanation: The mound was occupied continuously from the Late Neolithic Age to the Middle Age, and was used as a cemetery during the Middle Age. The layers of EBA Phase I-III was uncovered at the southern core of the mound, which is called 'the Old Mound' (southern, western and eastern slopes of the mound during the excavation). The EBA settlement sits on the central mound of the Chalcolithic Age. The western and northern slopes of the hill are called 'the New Mound' because of the Middle and Late Bronze Age layers. There are eight 14C specimens from the EBA layers of Tepecik. Two of them, ODTÜ-K14 and ODTÜ-26, are not included in the table since they are new. The MBA layers of Tepecik have only one 14C sample. The sample ODTÜ-K15B was published by Ozbakan as 4000±60 while the sample ODTÜ-K22A as 2890±60. And the sample Gr-5282 was published in Radiocarbon 14 by the name of Mollakendi (Vogel-Waterbolk 1972:51).
