Location: This site is located south-southeast of the city of Batman; near the village of Sincanli (Sencen) which is north of the Tigris. The site lies on a ridge facing a large and deep valley. It is reported that there are many caves west of this open-air site. |
Geography and Environment: Mount Raman by the Tigris; with an altitude of 1;228 m is one of the most important mountains in southeast Anatolia. The southern flanks of this mountain are generally steeper than the northern. |
