Location: It has been obscured by the Dinar District on the Afyonkarahisar-Aydin motorway; 100 km southwest of the Afyonkarahisar Province.
Geography and Environment: Apamea Cibotus; located at the beginning of the Meandros Valley; has been bordered by Apollonia Mordiaion to the east [Topbas 1991:309]
Destruction Details: During a survey by Üyümez et al. in 2008 it was found that the necropolis south of Apameia was illicitly dug over and over. Besides, the graves west of the necropolis are being destroyed by the quarry that operates there. The east side of the tumulus on Tavsan Hill was illicitly dug. Another tumulus between Dikici and Büküçalani was also illicitly dug [Üyümez 2010:41-43]. The theater which was partially unearthed by Afyon Museum Directorate in 1980, was destroyed through earthquakes and meteorological conditions, in addition to destruction through human activities. A portion of the prohedri chair found during salvage excavations by the museum is also missing [Üyümez et al. 2010:44].
