Geography and Environment: The vicinity of the Kiyiköy Cave was formed near the contact zone of the Eocene limestones within the Istranca Massif. The cave; which is 25 m above the base of valley is semi-active. Although the cave is mostly dry; the waters leaking from the ceiling and side walls from the middle parts resulted in a small underground creek.
