Location: It is located on a ridge between the Akarsu and Yazilibas Creeks; which are branches of Kocadere; 2-5 km south of the Caglayik Village; 50 km northeast of Kirklareli. It can be reached by the Kirklareli-Dereköy-Caglayik road. Two kilometers before Caglayik; a stabilized road leading to west from the Yazilibas Creek runs near to the cave.
Geography and Environment: Formed in the east-west direction; it is a passage type of cave. The entrance; resulting from the collapse of the base of a Palaeo underground creek on the marbles over the impermeable units under the Pliocene surface; is like a -12 m vertical shaft. There are stalactites; stalagmites and wall dripstones at some places. With a width ranging from 1 to 12 m; it has a very low roof. It was unable to adopt itself to the Lower Pleistocene geomorphological rejuvenescence in the region because of the impermeable schists underlying. Therefore; it has an abandoned position in respect to the streams. It is nearly dry except the waters dropping from ceiling and flowing from the narrow gallery on the northeast.
