Location: It is located on the ridge; which is an extension of the Susuz Mountain (2244 m) toward the east; enclosing the Elmali Plain to the south. It lies on the eastern slope of the Civkus Tepe. It can be reached through Tekkeköy from north or through a forest road from Göltarla from east. Through the forest road passing by the skirt of Civkus Tepe; a half-an-hour walk leads to the cave. |
Geography and Environment: It was formed within the Cretaceous aged medium and thin layered limestones. The snow remains at the bottom of the cave during summer; which makes the cave cool and keeps the temperature at 0 degree or under. The lowest part is decorated with ice stalactites. |
