It is situated 2 km north of the Atadami Village in the Diyadin District of Agri. The reservoir is located on the northern extension of the Tendürek Mountain. With an oval plan, it is small in size. It is supplied by the rain and snowfall and springs. The wall which was built with roughly dressed andesite blocks between two narrow rocks in a strait is now only traceable. It is 29 m long, and 3 m wide. The construction technique is similar to the other Urartian dams. Apparently, it was built to have met the water requirements of the agricultural lands and the ovine. |
