It is situated approximately 1250 m northwest of the Belevet Pinari on the slight plain ground on the slope rising towards the Sefre Ridge, approximately 250 m west of a stream bed spilling into the Yapan Stream, approximately 3 km northeast of the Hiniç Village. Finds dating to the Iron Age, Classical and Post-Classical Period were recovered. It was not an important settlement from the Early Iron Age until the Classic Period, and it appears that it didn't flourish although it grew in size during the Middle Age and the Byzantine Period [Özdogan 1977:80]. |
