It is situated within the boundaries of the Kozlu Village in the Kagizman District of Kars. It is an important center considering the presence of two irrigation reservoirs so called "Arifingölü" located to the southeast of Kozlu and Kuyumcular settlements, lying to the west of the Kozlu Fortress as well as its proximity to the significant Early Bronze, Iron and Middle Age sites and availability of water resources. Based on their overall characteristics, the reservoirs of the Kozlu Village are two important irrigation reservoirs that show the characteristic features of the Urartian reservoirs and are currently being used. The Kozlu Irrigation Reservoir is supplied from the water sources in the west, and it discharges northwards through a floodgate of 2 m in rim diameter.
