It is a fortress discovered during the Survey of the Turkish Fortresses performed by I. H. Kurtulus in the Thrace Region in 1995. The road leading to the fortress can be traced to the south of the remains, which are 3 km from the Kuzulu Village on the right side of the Kirklareli-Kofçaz road. The southeastern and northern walls cannot be identified, except the remaining stones. To the southwest, a 1.70 m thick wall was identified. A weak mortar containing brick crumbs and lime was used as binding material. To the northwest are remains lying in the north - south direction. The remains consist of two sections, the northern ones do not possess any opening; presence of a cistern with a 5 cm thick water-resistant red brick dust mortar was identified. The other section is unclear due to destruction resulting from illicit diggings. The other hill is accesible via a ridge with steep slopes on both sides from northwest. There is a necropolis at that spot. Below the hill is a small stream, chapels and some monk cells. It is reported that the site had all necessary geographical conditions for a Thracian fortress, and it was repaired and completed during the Byzantine Period to be used as a monastery. The fortress was visited during the survey performed by Ö. Ertugrul in 1995, and although it showed Byzantine characteristics, it was reported that it was originally a Thracian Fortress or basically a Thracian sanctuary.
