It is a fortress discovered during the Survey of the Turkish Fortresses conducted by I. H. Kurtulus in the Thrace Region in 1995. It is situated on a hill overlooking the environs at Kaynaklar Mevkii, 5 km from Koruköy on the Kirklareli-Dereköy road. The walls can be traced under the ground in the form of bumps while traces of some stone foundations can be observed on ground level. The inaccessible cliff and rocky blocks to the south compose a natural fortification. The eastern, western and northern sides of the hill on which the fortress is located have a slight inclination. The walls were built of crushed rocks using laying technique. No extant walls are available. It is reported to bear all characteristic features of a Thracian fortress.
