It rests on a high hill to the west of the Siçanli (Kizilkule) Village, 31 km southwest of Igdir with an altitude of 2205 m. Being ca. 200 m high above the village, it is a two-section fortress. The first section has a circle plan surrounding the bedrock, built with cyclopean masonry, while the second one consists of the rock graves and the sanctuary to the southwest of the fortress. Also, there is an area, probably a necropolis area, consisting of graves with the Early Iron Age characteristics. Although a major portion of the fortress was built with cyclopean technique, there are also Medieval Age walls built using lime mortar. At the center of the fortress is a building complex, with a clear plan. To the southwest of the Kizilkule Fortress is a rock grave.
