There are three tumuli approximately 3 km north of Kirklareli. These three tumuli at Asagipinar Mevkii were called Tumuli A, B and C. They are on a straight line. The Tumulus B is situated at the center. The investigations on tumuli in the Thrace Region were initiated by A.M. Mansel of the Turkish Historical Society in 1936, and lasted until 1940. Among the finds are sherds of a bright, black glazed Greek vase, a braid shaped vase handle, and local made of reddish clay. The Tumulus B is a Macedonian type of chamber grave. It was dated to the 5th-4th century BC, and interpreted as having an attractive architecture. The grave was previously disturbed and robbed.
