It lies 5 km north of the Karakoyunlu Fortress in the Karakoyunlu District of Igdir. Bearin similar characteristics with the Karakoyunlu Fortress, it was fortified in five levels. To the immediate north is the a settlement area. The necropolis area mainly occupying the northern section is also present in the northwest. Architectural remains in rectangular and oval plans are observed on the necropolis and settlement areas to the north. Overlooking the fertile Igdir Plain, the fortress has a sheltered nature. The northern necropolis area has been destroyed by illicit diggings. It seems that the Early Iron Age graves on the northwestern necropolis area have been better preserved than the northern ones, and undisturbed yet. Based on the ceramic data, it appears that the site had been occupied during the Early Iron Age, Middle Iron Age and Middle Age.
