It is situated within the boundaries of the Kirsehir Province. It was discovered during the Central Anatolian Survey conducted under the direction of S. Omura in 2002. Iron Age sherds were collected from the surface. It was reported by S. Omura that the samples of the Iron Age pottery collected from this mound along with the ones from the other mounds in the region are contemporary with the Kaman-Kalehöyük IIc, IIa, i.e. from the second half of the 8th century BC until the early 7th century BC, particularly the grey ware found at Kaman-Kalehöyük IIb and IIa are abundant in number. |
