It is situated at Karaburun Mevkii, immediately on the right side of the Avanos-Gülsehir motorway, 5 km southwest of the Avanos District in Nevsehir. It was built on a conglomerate terrace that rises on the west side of the stream at the confluence of the Damlamaç Stream with the Kizilirmak River. It was discovered during the "Survey of the Nevsehir Province" performed by S.Y. Senyurt in 1997. The mound is approximately 8 m high above the conglomerate, with the summit measuring around 60-70 m in diameter, and the base around 100 m in diameter. There is no destruction on the mound. It contains Iron Age and Hellenistic-Roman Period sherds.
