It is situated near the peak of the volcanic Kaletepe rock, which is 70-80 m high, lying 8 km northeast of Alacahöyük. It is a stepped Phrygian rock altar. The monument faces southeast, measuring 1.5x 0.5x0.45 m in dimensions with two sections. The section on the right side is higher, and it has a stilized idol in the shape of a curve with four steps. There are reliefs of two seating lions on the third step, and an inscription consisting of two lines in Paleo-Phrygian on the frontal surface of the steps. The lion heads have been destroyed. The frontal parts of their bodies are intact. On the lower left is a platform measuring 4.2x1.5 m in dimensions. The rock behind the platform was vertically dressed, almost looking like a back board. There are two more lions reliefs with damaged heads at this section, standing on a lower base. The bi-sectional arrangement resembles the Grand Altar in Midas. Similar lion heads are observed in the Lions Altar in the Köhnüs Valley.
