It is situated on a somewhat high hill where the Kuruçay Brook spills into the Euphrates River to the north of the Egribük Village in Malatya. It measures 150x6 m in dimensions. The surface ceramics belong to the MBA, LBA, Iron Age and Classic Period. The site had been inhabited mainly during the Hittite and Roman Periods. It is likely that it was an outpost commanding the Euphrates and Kuruçay stream. |
