It is located on the eastern end of the "Hayram" range of mountains, 10 km northeast of the Çayirli District in Erzincan. Overlooking a plain and spreading onto a very wide terrain, to the north runs the Karasu Stream and the modern Çayirli-Mercan motorway. Presence of a fire layer resulting from such destruction indicates that the settlement was abandoned following a fire. The Early Bronze Age, Early and Late Iron Age and the Midde Age ceramics represent the richest material of the Çayirli region.
