It is located between the Güzelhisar Village and the Çatalören Village of Karayazi District within the borders of the Güzelhisar (Avnik) Village in the Pasinler District of Erzurum. It rests on a steep rock overlooking the strait rising on the right side of the road before arriving down to the Çatalören Village from the Güzelhisar Village. It was built in cyclopean technique using fine dressed stones over the foundations of fortifications carved out from the bedrock. There are deep cisterns and a two-stepped water tunnel with Iron Age characteristics on the fortress. The Iron Age and Middle Age sherds were collected from the surface.
