It lies 1.5 km west of the Hacimehmetli Village of the Kussarayi Subdistrict, 1200 m southeast of the Kirasa Quarter in Elazig. Being delimeted by the Euphrates to the south, and a stream bed to the west and nothwest, it was established on a low, and very long ridge. It has a cone with a diameter about 25 m, and a terrace strecthing in west-east. Together with the terraces, the settlement covers an area of ca. 110x50 m, with a height up to 4 m. Abundant number of coarse Iron Age sherds were found. It appears that it was a small Iron Age settlement, and it had been also occupied interruptedly during following periods. |
