It is a flat mound, measuring approximately 50 m in diameter, and 2-3 m in height, on a flood plain, 200 m south of the Atikan Village in Malatya. It was discovered and surveyed on May 1977 by the Prehistoria Department of the Istanbul University. The villagers informed that they found some stone foundations and human bones. Several sherds dating to the Iron Age were found.
