It lies on the uppermost hill and the southermost of the South Ridge in the necropolis of Gordion. It was excavated in 1969 by P. Sherman. It is 9.33 m in height, and 60 m in base diameter. A rectangular pit was dug into the hardpan for the grave chamber. The bottom of the pit was lined with rubbles. The interior dimensions of the grave chamber are 4.55x3.75x? m. The walls of the chamber have been destroyed. Each wall was made of seven beams stacked on each other. The roof collapsed. No single trace of the burial was found. A bronze nail with a disc head, and 3 L-headed iron nail were found. Among the beams and the debris of the tumulus deposit were finds such as a bronze bowl with sieved spout, fragments of bronze handle, fragments of a bronze bowl with a petaled body, fragments of a bronze bowl with incised decorations, L-headed iron nail, black-on-buff painted dinos, black slipped, round rimmed spouted cup. It was dated to about 670 BC.
