It is situated 20 km southwest of the Tuzluca District, 40 km west of Igdir. It was built using the cyclopean technique in east-west orientation. The outer surfaces of the stones used for fortifications were roughly dressed while the inner surfaces were left untouched. The wall remains range between 2 m and 2.50 m within the fortress. Although it was heavily destroyed, there are some extant walls reaching up to 1-1.50 m high. It bears similar architectural characteristics with those of EBA and Early Iron Age fortresses. It was surveyed in 2006 by A. Özfirat et al. and coded I70/3. The rectangular planned fortress has an encompassing wall 85.50 m long, 21 m in the northwest, 3 m thick olarak ölçülmüştür [Özfırat 2008:200-201]. |
