It is situated north of a junction at the 23rd km of the Kemah-Refahiye road in the Kemah District of Erzincan. It was named after the location as Saritas. No extant walls are observed as a result of illicit diggings. The destruction continues with mining licences granted in the neighbourhood. The ceramics collected from the fortress belong to the EBA, Iron Age and Middle Age. |
