It lies immediately on the bank of Kizilirmak (Halys), approximately 500 m northwest of Köprüköy, 20 km southwest of the Keskin District in Kirikkale. It was discovered in 1991 during the surveys conducted in the Central Anatolia under the direction of S. Omura. A thick wall made of large cutstones was preserved on the section overlooking the Kizilirmak River. The settlement measures 280 m in diameter, and 32 m in height. Many illicitly dug pits are observed on the hill. Sherds dating to the Early Bronze Age, Old Hittite Kingdom, and Iron Age were collected from the surface, particularly painted sherds from the Early Phrygian Period, which were also unearthed at Kaman-Kalehöyük layer IIc.
