It is located in the Çiçekdagi District of Kirsehir. Lying on a natural hill, it meaures 14 m in lenght, and 73 m in diameter. With more than twenty buildings constructed on its skirts, the settlement have been heavily destroyed. It was visited in 1960 by W. Orthmann, and re-investigated in 1987 during the Surveys in the Province of Kirsehir conducted under the direction of S. Omura. Based on the surface finds, it is believed that the settlement was inhabited during the 3rd, 2nd and 1st Millennia BC. Monochrome and paint decorated sherds belonging to the 1st Millennium BC were collected from the surface. It is listed among the registered archaeological sites prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
