It is situated at pazarcik Mevkii, 1 km west of the Kayaalti Village in the Hacibektas District of Nevsehir. To the west and east are water resources. It is a steep and high mound, measuring around 35 m in height. It is pointed and conic with a circular plan. The hilltop measures 20x13 m in dimensions while the base is ca. 200 m in diameter. Sherds dating to the EBA, Iron Age, Hellenistic-Roman Periods were collected from the surface. It is listed among the registered archaeological sites prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It was visited during the survey conducted by A. Türker in 2013. EBA, IA, Hellenistic and Roman potsherds and grinding stones and a stone hammer were found on the mound [Türker 2015:233-234]. |
