It is situated 2 km southeast of the Morhamam Village of the Arguvan District in Malatya. It rests on a natural elevation on the bank of the Euphrates River to the immediate north of the confluence of Aliaga Brook with the Euphrates River. The discovery and first survey was conducted by the Prehistory Department of DTCF in Ankara in August 1975, followed by the Prehistory Department of University of Istanbul in June 1977. The sherds have been spreaded onto an area of ca. 150x200 m on a calcareous rock. The cultural deposit is 10 m thick, and there is a small plain ground on the hilltop with pretty steep edges. Traces of a stone wall are observed on the slopes as being exposed due to natural erosion. There are illicit diggings on the slope overlooking the Euphrates River. Some Iron Age sherds were found.
