| The 25 m high mound; measuring 75 m in diameter; lies 500 m east of Beykonak road;east of Eldes Village; approximately 10 km southeast of Ilgin District; northwest of Konya Province. It was discovered during the Konya-Ilgin Survey conducted by H. Bahar in 1994. Ceramics; dating to the Late Chalcolithic Age [Bahar 1996:fig.4/1-3]; EBA; MBA-LBA; IA; were collected from the surface. The Chalcolithic Age sherds are buff; brown pasted; chaff-tempered; moderately fired and interrelated with the Lake District. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
