It is situated at where Kiziltepe is located to the southwest of Mardin. It was visited during the survey conducted in the Valley of the Zergan Brook by the excavation team of Nusaybin Girnavaz Höyük between 1991 and 1992. It is one of the nine mounds located near the brook inside the valley. It lies on the eastern bank of the brook. The Late Assyrian Period sherds collected from the mound indicate that it was an important settlement of the period [Ay 1995:15-19]. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
