It is situated on the road from Kurtkulagi to Akdamiz to the east of the Kizil Su Valley, southeast of the provincial center of Adana. It is 30 m high with a conic shape. The northern and northwestern sections are very steep. The main settlement was probably during the Hittite Period. It was discovered during the Cilician Survey in 1951. It appears that the site contains settlements from the Middle Bronze Age until the Byzantine Period [Seton-Williams 1954:131-168; findspot no.65]. |
