It is a mound measuring 500x300x30 m in dimensions at the city center of Konya. Several soundings were conducted in the site by R.O. Arik in 1941, but no reports were published. The Phrygian level is reached at section no.5 in the grid square C of the settlement. The Phrygian traces are observed, but no architectural remains were exposed. The excavations yielded plenty of Iron Age pottery, which have been transferred to the Archeological Museum of Konya. No systematic study has been carried out on these items yet. A small group of them were published by E. Akurgal in 1955. Following evaluations are based on the works published by E. Akurgal. H. Bahar made an evaluation on the works in 1996. The finds are dated to the Early Bronze Age, Middle Iron Age and Late Iron Age. However, the most interesting finds are the painted sherds dating to the Middle Iron Age. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
