It lies north-northeast of Düzardiç Village; south of Gökçepinar Town and city center of Samsun. The streams of Basalan and Abdal flows nearby the skirts of the hill where the site locates on its slope and they join each other at the eastern skirt. The site was discovered by U.B. Alkim in 1977 and dated to EBA.
