The round; 9.5 m high mound; measuring 105 m in diameter; lies south of Bilecik; 10 km north of Bozhöyük; as the crow flies; northeast of Demirköy; 50 m east of the river (?). Bedrock is by the western part. There are modern buildings and a section; exposing a conflagrated layer. At the eastern part of the site. Ceramics resembling the Late Chalcolithic Age Phase 4 of Beycesultan ware were found below this layer. Ceramics resembling Demircihöyük 2b ware; sherds of local reddish brown burnished ware (Demirköy ware) and a little amount of black burnished ware were found above the layer. In addition; EBA and MBA-LBA sherds were collected. |
