| This artifact scatter lies on a natural hill south of the city of Kayseri; 9 km northeast of the town of Yahyali and south of the village of Agaçasar. The region; covered by steppe vegetation; is very mountainous. The site was discovered during the 1990 surface survey of Central Anatolia conducted by a Japanese research team led by S. Omura. Habitation at this site appears to have been seasonal and dates to a single period. Although the finds are not described in detail; some obsidian finds are reported to have been collected. The site has been skeptically assigned to the Neolithic Period. |
