The site lies southeast of the city of Nevsehir; south of the town of Ürgüp; in the picnic area on the western shore of the Damsa Dam Lake. It was coincidentally discovered by a survey team led by N. Balkan-Atli. The chipped stone tools and debitage fragments which were periodically uncovered/brought to this area by the seasonal level changes of the dam lake included crested blades; bipolar blades; end scrapers as well as splinter pieces. |
