The mound; 100x110 m and 10 m in height; lies west of thermal power plant; northwest of Elbistan District and of Çogulhan Village; north of the city of Kahramanmaras. Slightly damaged by the villagers; the conical mound is sometimes called Çoluhan; Çolhanköy or Çavli Han in some publications. During the surface collection conducted by G.H. Brown in 1962; Late Chalcolithic Age ceramics of plain ware; flint-scraped (brushed) ware; reserved slip decorated ware and fine orange ware were found. In addition; EBA and Roman Period vessels are among the finds. The mound dates to the 8/9th phases in ASPRO. The mound was revisited by Konyar and his team in 2010. EBA dark-faced wares have been collected from the surface [Koçak et al. 2012:37].
