It lies 200 m south of the Bergama-Dikili motorway; 17.5 km west-southwest of Bergama District; north of Izmir Province. It is on a rocky hill located in a narrow plain. It was discovered by O. Barlet; and named as Bayramtepe. It was also investigated during a survey conducted by J. Driehaus in 1955. It measures 1 m in height and 150x150 m in dimensions. The surface has been covered mostly by pottery datable to the Hellenistic and late periods. Very limited number of sherds belonging to the EBA was collected from the surface. The mound was visited during the survey conducted by B. Horejs and her team in 2013. During this survey, it was stated that the mound covers an area of 4.5 hectares [Horejs-Pirson 2015:151].
