The survey conducted on the shoreline of Black Sea under the direction of M. Özdogan in 1984 yielded stone lines in the Dogancali Kumlugu, resembling megalithic finds at Thrace. Özdogan indicates that such remains on the shoreline of the Black Sea are important to see if there is any connection between the Thracian megalithic monuments and Caucasian dolmen cultures.
