The north side of the site is delimited by the Kozman Stream, a tributary of the Çengelli Stream locally known as Sterne(Yildiz) Stream, 500 m east-northeast of Igdebaglari (formerly Heraplia/Arapli). In 1984, several warehouse finds consisting of copper-bronze items were coincidentially exposed by the villagers. Based on the dispersion of sherds, the site measures around 100x150 m in dimensions. The surface finds collected from two surveys indicate that it had been inhabited during the Iron Age, Classical Age, Hellenistic and Byzantine Periods as a small settlement. The sherds are denser in the area near the Kozman Stream while metal finds are more common in the southern section with less sherds. Based on their functions the finds were analysed under four groups including weapons and tools, jewelry, vessels, and ingots. Except for the bowls with decorated bodies, the finds were dated to the 12th-11th centuries BC. The bulging bowls are first encountered ca. in the 11th century BC, and the Phrygian examples between the 9th and the 8th centuries BC. The metal finds have been exhibited in the display of Sarköy Finds in the Istanbul Archaeological Museums.
