It is close to Bucak District; northwest of Antalya Province. It was discovered by H. Ormerod. EBA pottery was collected by J. Mellaart from the surface. J. Mellaart suggests that it is an EBA II settlement. Çaykenari is renown with its specific idols; however it is uncertain if the idols claimed to be recovered here came from Çaykenari I or II. Probably it was recovered from the damaged mound. Number I is illustrated on the eastern bank of the village. |
