N. Balkan et al. performed surveys at 8 locations on Ballikaya in 2007. These were northeast of Küçük Göllü Mountain with altitudes ranging between 1772 to 1809 m. A total of 317 finds were collected at these locations and almost all suggested Mid Palaeolithic Age. But a few blades and flakes which possibly belong to Neolithic or Chalcolithic Age were also collected. Besides many levallois cores and flakes, various flakes, blades and cores were collected. 2 bifaces were found. The presence of tools particularly of the side scrapers suggest that the finds' places might as well be locations of the residences (Balkan-Atli et al. 2009:332].
