It is situated 2 km west of Güzbulak Village which is 20 km southwest of Tercan District in Erzincan Province. It was founded on a rocky hill just above the stream that runs from east direction towards the west. Its location is one corner in the valley. The natural road that extends between east and west connects the valley to the mountaineous section. There is another road that is named the "southern road". The strategically important fortress has an altitude of 1691 m. The cave is in the west side of the hill. This cave was later enlarged and made convenient for the people to live in. There are settlements just east of the cave. Sherds were encountered that led to specific data during the survey performed by A. Ceylan et al. in 2007. The finds particularly point out at an EBA settlement [Ceylan et al. 2009:134].
