It lies at the eastern part of Ortakli (Mehre) Village, southeast of Afsin District, southwest of Elbistan district, north of Kahramanmaras Province. It is on the eastern bank of the Ceyhan River. It was discovered in 1962. Sherds of the eastern ware belonging to the EBA and mottled washed ware were collected from the surface. It has been reported to measure 12 m in height and 110x100 m in dimensions. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
